Mumbai: Veteran filmmaker and educationist Subhash Ghai has expressed deep gratitude after receiving an invitation to the At Home Reception hosted at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the eve of 26th January in New Delhi.
Calling it a moment of pride and humility, Ghai shared that the invitation felt like a recognition not just of his personal journey, but of the larger contribution of cinema and education towards nation-building.

Sharing his thoughts, the filmmaker wrote on Instagram:
“I felt honoured when I got an invitation yesterday from the Hon’ble President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the eve of 26th January At Home Reception.
I feel it’s a compliment to a filmmaker for 50 years and an educationist for 25 years — for sincere contribution towards a Viksit Bharat.

I thank you all for this honour to me and my team, who pledge to continue their contribution towards nation building.
Feel blessed.” 🙏🏽
With a career spanning five decades in Indian cinema and over 25 years dedicated to nurturing creative talent through education, Subhash Ghai’s journey stands as a testament to storytelling with purpose and learning with vision. The invitation, he believes, belongs as much to his team as it does to him, a collective acknowledgment of sustained commitment towards shaping minds, culture, and the future of India.
