Lucknow: Lucknow’s Commissionerate Police, particularly the Husainganj police station and all its outposts, continue to maintain strong vigilance across the area to curb crime. With station in-charges and their teams consistently active on the ground, the force has achieved yet another major breakthrough.
In a significant success, the Husainganj Police arrested two notorious snatchers, identified as Abdul Samad and Mohammad Tausif, both residents of the Chowk police station area. The duo, known for multiple snatching incidents, had been troubling commuters with sudden mobile-grab thefts.
During the operation, the police recovered:
- 8 Android mobile phones, all stolen
- 1 motorcycle used in the snatching crimes
The swift action by the Husainganj team led to the recovery of the stolen items and the arrest of the accused, who have now been sent behind bars.
Police have registered a case under multiple serious charges and forwarded both accused to jail. The arrests were made near the Haveli area of Gosainganj, where the suspects were intercepted.
The Commissionerate Police stated that such active policing will continue across the city, with a strong focus on preventing snatching, theft, and other street crimes.
