“Humanity Not Charity” Fundraiser: A Melodic Evening with a Purpose

Lucknow— In a heartwarming blend of music and service, the organization Ek Koshish Aisi Bhi hosted a special fundraiser, Humanity Not Charity, to support the purchase of a new ambulance. The event was held at Jaipuria Institute of  Management, where service, compassion, and melody came together for a noble cause.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, the chief guest, urged people to dedicate at least one hour a day to listening to the needy. “If we give an hour to those who are in distress, every helpless, every patient, and every demand can be met,” he remarked. Sharing a personal anecdote, he spoke about his daughter’s concern for animals, underscoring the importance of caring for humans as well as all living beings.

The evening featured soulful performances, including a ghazal recital by Dr. Prabha Srivastava and a classical jugalbandi by Varun Mishra, with all proceeds dedicated to the ambulance fund. Former Cabinet Minister Swati Singh, IAS officer Dr. Hariom, and Rakesh Verma lit the ceremonial lamp.

Guided by Naval Kant Sinha, the program was seamlessly anchored by Parul Sharma. A special segment included a powerful documentary narrated by Manoj Rajan Tripathi, highlighting ongoing social service initiatives.

The event reflected collective effort—thanks to volunteers, technical teams, and Jaipuria Institute for offering its venue free of cost. In every note and every gesture, the evening celebrated the spirit of “Humanity, Not Charity.”
