Khushi Foundation and Disha Educational Society Lead Felicitation Ceremony
Lucknow: In a grand celebration of selfless service and professional excellence, Khushi Foundation and Disha Educational and Welfare Society jointly hosted the ‘Seva Shikhar’ and ‘Seva Gaurav Samman’ ceremony at the International Buddhist Research Institute auditorium in Gomtinagar, Lucknow. The event honoured prominent personalities across sectors like healthcare, journalism, social work, education, and arts.
The chief guest at the ceremony was State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, while Minister of State for Health Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh and PSI India Executive Director Mukesh Sharma graced the event as special guests. The program was presided over by former IIMC Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Dwivedi.

Minister Surya Pratap Shahi lauded the initiative, stating, “Honouring talent inspires progress. Recognising the deserving is never easy, and Khushi Foundation has done commendable work in this regard.”
Echoing the sentiment, Minister Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh remarked, “Being awarded brings greater responsibility. It serves as both recognition and motivation to do more for society.”
Chairing the session, Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi emphasised the value of continuity in tradition. “It is no small feat to initiate such an event and maintain its dignity annually. The organisers have truly succeeded,” he said, extending his best wishes.
Role of PSI India and Community Participation
PSI India played a crucial role in organising the ceremony. Dr. Sangeeta of PSI gave a detailed presentation on the organisation’s work in healthcare, women empowerment, and sanitation across India.

The event featured soulful performances including Ganesh Vandana by Peehu Dwivedi and a vibrant group dance by Gargi Dwivedi’s troupe, winning hearts across the audience. Musical presentations by Deepa Awasthi and Anubhav Srivastava also received widespread appreciation.
A free health camp was jointly organised by International Buddhist Institute, Khushi Foundation, and Max Hospital. Attendees received expert medical consultations, and SBL Homeopathic distributed medicine kits during the camp.
The event proved to be a confluence of recognition, community spirit, and service, inspiring attendees to continue striving for the betterment of society.
