Mumbai: Hombale Films has released the highly anticipated trailer of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, sending fans into a frenzy. The prequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’, this film is already being hailed as one of the most awaited releases of 2025 and is expected to be a major pan-India cinematic event.
The trailer, while maintaining an air of mystery, has heightened curiosity about what new elements the filmmakers will bring to the story. Officially shared on social media, the makers called the project one of Hombale Films’ biggest and most ambitious ventures.
The creative team includes music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan, who have crafted the film’s powerful visuals and emotional narrative. The movie also features a massive war sequence involving over 500 skilled fighters and 3,000 extras, shot across 25 acres of rugged terrain over 45-50 days, marking it as one of the largest action sequences in Indian cinema history.
‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is scheduled for release on October 2, 2025, in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English, promising to reach audiences nationwide while staying rooted in its cultural essence.
