Lucknow— The extended executive meeting of Holland Hall Alumni Association, affiliated with Allahabad University, was successfully held in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow under the chairmanship of former IG Shailendra Pratap Singh.
The meeting began with the confirmation of the proceedings from the previous session. A major decision approved was the transfer of ₹86,400 as the first installment of educational assistance for the current session to the bank accounts of hostel staff children. The alumni association has been supporting the education of 19 children for the past three years.
A significant resolution was passed to initiate a dedicated office room in the hostel premises, named after Harivansh Rai Bachchan, a distinguished former resident of the hostel. The office is set to become operational from July 2025, and necessary expenses for its establishment were approved.
In a noteworthy move, the association decided to introduce the Dr. S.L. Parmar Memorial Scholarship from the next academic session. Five deserving, meritorious, and underprivileged hostel residents will receive ₹2,000 per month as financial assistance.

The meeting also discussed plans to commemorate the 125th foundation year of Holland Hall Hostel with a special event proposed to be themed “Punarrachna” (Reconstruction).
Distinguished alumni and members present at the meeting included Prof. A.N. Singh, former IAS officer Madhukar Dwivedi, Buddhi Sagar Dubey, Dilip Gupta, Jitendra Singh, Shambhunath Tiwari, international swimmer Rakesh Shukla, Rana Pratap Singh, Umesh Chandra Gupta, Habibul Hasan, Sudhir Singh, Arun Kumar Singh, Vivek Singh, and Ashish Singh. Brijendra Tiwari and Raghvendra Singh Chandel joined virtually.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to further strengthen the association’s academic and cultural initiatives.
