Lucknow: The Sarojininagar Assembly constituency in Lucknow is set to host the grand ‘Hindustan Handicraft Festival’ at Smriti Upvan, Ashiana, from November 19 to December 25, 2025. The mega event, inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for youth empowerment and promotion of local art and culture, will bring together artisans and performers from across the country.
Organiser Arun Pratap Singh said the festival aims to connect youth with India’s rich artistic heritage, promote local products at a national level, and position Uttar Pradesh as the ‘Cultural Capital of India’.

The festival will feature handicrafts from 28 states, traditional cuisines, amusement rides, a grand cultural stage, and daily cultural performances celebrating India’s vibrant diversity.
November 22 – The Day of Youth Power
One of the most anticipated highlights of the festival will be on November 22, 2025, when India’s celebrated youth icon and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh will perform live in Lucknow. Invited by local MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, the event will be open to the public free of cost, with no entry fee.
In a special gesture, Honey Singh will perform pro bono, expressing his connection with the youth and his admiration for Uttar Pradesh’s growth and cultural progress. Organisers expect a crowd of over 20,000 young attendees on the day of the concert.
Honey Singh – A Comeback that Inspires
Speaking about the artist’s participation, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said,
“Yo Yo Honey Singh is not just a performer; he is a symbol of confidence and revival. His journey teaches us that true strength lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we do. Artists like him inspire young people to recognize their inner courage and potential.”

He added that the event represents more than entertainment — it embodies “Inspiration through Art”, blending music, culture, and indigenous craftsmanship to energize and unite youth under a shared purpose.
A Festival of Cultural Pride
Throughout the festival, artists from across India will showcase folk dances, classical music, visual arts, and traditional crafts. Local entrepreneurs and artisans will also be provided with platforms to exhibit and sell their products, strengthening the ‘Vocal for Local’ movement.
Expressing his broader vision for the constituency, Dr. Singh remarked,
“I envision Sarojininagar not just as a center for development projects, but as a hub of cultural renaissance. Our goal is for every young person here to take pride in their talent, confidence, and heritage.”
With its blend of craftsmanship, culture, and creativity, the Hindustan Handicraft Festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of India’s unity in diversity — and a reflection of Lucknow’s evolving identity as a center of art, inspiration, and youth empowerment.
