Helping breach the Digital Divide

Lucknow: The 15th CSC Day was organized with great pomp in the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan Auditorium. On this occasion, U.P. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare, Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare, Asim Arun, DDG Regional Office UIDAI (Aadhaar) Lucknow, Prashant Kumar, Jaya Dubey (Manager, Stock Holding), Rajiv Malik (Government Examination) along with representatives of AXIS Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, Piramal, Mahindra etc. were present.

Chief Guest Minister Asim Arun described the e-governance scheme as a digital bridge between the government and the public and said that this effort is going on successfully through CSC VLE. He said that the government is now also moving towards m-governance. He appreciated the CSC Bal Vidyalaya PPT and emphasized on promoting such training programs for rural students.

UIDAI (Aadhaar) DDG Prashant Kumar appreciated the Aadhaar services through CSC and appealed to the service providers to follow the prescribed standards. CSC has played an important role in making the society digitally, socially and financially inclusive by improving access to governance and services in rural and remote areas.
