Heartfulness to Provide Education Based on Human Values

Free Training Programs to Be Held in Uttar Pradesh Schools

LUCKNOW — An agreement between Samagra Shiksha (Madhyamik), the Department of Education of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the Heartfulness Education Trust will facilitate the year-round organization of training programs in government schools across all districts of Uttar Pradesh. The goal is to promote education based on human values. The program has already been launched in 21 districts and is providing free training to both teachers and students.

To ensure the smooth and easy implementation of this program in schools, a two-day training workshop was organized at the Heartfulness Center on IIM Road, Lucknow. The workshop saw participation from representatives of 40 districts of the state.

Shalini Mehrotra, State Program Director for Heartfulness, explained that the Heartfulness Institute is continuously working to promote global peace and human values in over 160 countries through meditation. Under the guidance of its Global Guide, Kamlesh D. Patel, also known as Daaji, the organization conducts life-skills-based programs. These include the ‘Inspire’ program for teachers, which focuses on providing skills for centered teaching, and the ‘HELP’ program for students in classes 9 to 12.

During the two-day workshop for the successful implementation of the ‘HELP’ program, School Connect State Coordinators Anju Srivastava, Satish Verma, Deepak, Anita Sharma, Neha, Seema Singh, and Gunjan Gupta provided information on various topics. A work plan has been prepared to implement the program in government schools across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
