Heartfelt Tribute Paid to Freedom Fighter Durga Bhabhi on Her Death Anniversary

Lucknow | A solemn tribute ceremony was held at Lucknow Montessori School and Inter College, located at Purana Qila, to observe the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter Durga Bhabhi (Smt. Durgavati Devi), one of the most courageous women of the Indian independence movement.

Former students of the school, including Sanjeev Agrawal, Girish Chand Sanwal, Ajit Jindal, Ajay Agrawal, and Chandra Mohan Pandey, along with social worker Ashutosh Avadhwal, joined Principal Prashant Mishra and other teachers to pay heartfelt homage to Durga Bhabhi.

The participants offered floral tributes and remembered her fearless role in the freedom struggle, highlighting her dedication, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, the attendees said that Durga Bhabhi’s life is an inspiration, especially for the younger generation. They emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy of such national heroes who played a crucial part in India’s fight for independence.

The ceremony reflected deep respect and gratitude for Durga Bhabhi’s contributions, reaffirming the school community’s pride in remembering her as a symbol of courage and patriotism.
