LUCKNOW: A grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ (tricolour march) was organized today from Sangam to Annexy under the leadership of Urban Development and Energy Minister, A.K. Sharma, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (Tricolour at Every Home) campaign.
The procession began at 9:30 AM and saw enthusiastic participation from senior officials, employees of the Urban Development and Energy departments, public representatives, NGOs, and the general public. The air was filled with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram,” creating an atmosphere of patriotism. Local residents along the route also joined the march with great enthusiasm.
Addressing the participants, Minister A.K. Sharma emphasized that the Tricolour is not just a flag, but a symbol of our nation’s identity, sacrifices, and unity. He appealed to all citizens to hoist the Tricolour at every home, establishment, office, and institution from August 13 to 15. “This campaign is not merely a government program, but a symbol of respect and pride for the nation,” he said, adding that it is our duty to take this message to every person.

Before the start of the march, the Minister hoisted the Tricolour at his residence and stated that Independence Day is not just a celebration but an opportunity to remember our duties. He urged everyone to hoist the national flag at their homes and make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a success.
Senior officials including Ashish Goel, Pankaj Kumar, Anuj Jha, and Ajay Kumar Shukla, along with other staff from the Urban Development and Energy departments, enthusiastically participated in the Tiranga Yatra.
