Mumbai: Indian rapper, singer, and actor Hanumankind is set to make a high-profile appearance at Netflix’s global fan extravaganza, ‘Tudum’, one of the streaming giant’s most awaited international events. Known for its celebration of Netflix stars and content, the event will now spotlight one of India’s most promising music sensations.
Hanumankind, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, began his rap journey at just 15, collaborating with friends and creating music that soon resonated with young audiences. Today, he is not only an internet sensation but a dynamic voice in India’s growing hip-hop scene.
Netflix made the announcement via its official Instagram handle, sharing a video of Hanumankind performing his hit track ‘Run It Up’. In the caption, Netflix wrote: “Run it up! The incredible Hanumankind is ready to light up the stage at Tudum Festival — Netflix’s global fan event. Don’t miss it! Tune in on May 31 at 8 PM (U.S. time) or June 1 at 5:30 AM (IST).”

This performance adds to a growing list of major milestones for Hanumankind. In 2024, he gained national attention when he performed at a high-profile rally for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York.
Hanumankind’s musical journey began with a performance at the NH7 Weekender music festival. His debut album, ‘Kalari’, released in 2019, marked the beginning of his professional career. The stage name “Hanumankind” is a creative blend of ‘Hanuman’ — the revered deity and symbol of strength — and ‘mankind’, symbolizing humanity and unity.
He first collaborated with composer Charan Raj and singer Sanjeet Hegde for the song ‘Madeva’, featured in the Kannada film Popcorn Monkey Tiger. He later produced ‘The Last Dance’ for the Malayalam film Aavesham.
However, it was the release of his track ‘Big Dogs’ in July 2024 that became a global breakout. The song crossed 1.2 million views on YouTube within two weeks, catapulting him into international recognition.
Now, as he prepares to showcase his energy and lyrical prowess on a world stage at Tudum, Hanumankind represents the voice of a new India — rooted in tradition, yet global in impact.
