New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough in curbing street crimes, the police team of Subhash Place Police Station apprehended a habitual criminal involved in auto-lifting and robbery. The accused, identified as Vishal alias Nandu, a 25-year-old resident of Shakurpur, Delhi, was caught during a patrolling operation under the Roko-Toko strategy. The police recovered three stolen two-wheelers, including two scooties and a motorcycle, from his possession.
Crackdown Under “Roko-Toko” Strategy
The police in the Subhash Place area had intensified patrolling operations under the Roko-Toko initiative, designed to prevent street crimes such as auto-lifting, snatching, and robbery. This strategy includes increased police presence, surprise checks, and focused monitoring of individuals suspected of criminal activities.
On 01 December 2024, an e-FIR (No. 37150/24) was lodged at Subhash Place Police Station, reporting the theft of a scooty (DL-8C-CA-7021) from a residential area. Acting swiftly, the police formed a dedicated team to investigate the matter.
