Eco-Tourism Board committed to promoting the state’s natural treasures globally: Minister Jaiveer Singh
Lucknow: As part of its ongoing efforts to elevate Uttar Pradesh’s natural and cultural tourism on the global stage, the Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board is hosting a special Familiarization Trip (Fam Trip) for leading tour operators from the UK, USA, Germany, and Australia from April 22 to 30.
On Sunday, one group visited Lucknow’s iconic heritage sites including the Residency, Bara Imambara, and La Martiniere College, while another group toured the Dudhwa National Park. The visitors were left awestruck by the grandeur and historical richness of the sites.
Sharing the information, Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh, emphasized that the state possesses immense potential for eco-tourism, and efforts are being intensified to realize it. He stated that the Eco-Tourism Development Board is dedicated to showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s natural beauty on international platforms, and organizing Fam Trips with global tour operators and travel writers is a major part of this initiative.
“These tour operators are visiting major eco-tourism destinations across Uttar Pradesh, and through their reports, articles, and social media posts, they are promoting the state’s natural attractions globally,” said Minister Singh. He expressed confidence that this initiative would give Uttar Pradesh’s tourism industry a new dimension, creating opportunities for employment and economic growth.
During their visit, the foreign delegates also savored Lucknow’s famous local cuisine and appreciated the state’s rich cultural heritage. Minister Singh noted that through these experiences, the Eco-Tourism Board aims to boost the global appeal of Uttar Pradesh’s tourist destinations.

He further outlined the itinerary, mentioning that the groups are touring destinations including Bateshwar, Agra, Chambal Safari, Kannauj (the perfume city), Dudhwa National Park, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary before arriving in Lucknow for their city tour.
After Lucknow, the delegates will head to Prayagraj, where they will explore the Sangam, historical landmarks, and the famed farm-stay, Planters Bungalow. The trip will conclude in Kashi (Varanasi), where visitors will witness the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Ganga Aarti, the enchanting “Subah-e-Banaras,” and experience local arts, crafts, and traditional cuisine.
Meanwhile, another group is undertaking a parallel route, visiting Varanasi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, and then Dudhwa, before proceeding to Kannauj, Chambal Safari, and Agra.
Minister Singh highlighted that this specially curated Fam Trip is a strategic initiative to firmly establish Uttar Pradesh on the international tourism map. Through the journey from Chambal Safari to the spiritual charm of Kashi, the delegates will get an intimate view of the state’s cultural diversity, historic heritage, and breathtaking natural landscapes.
