Lucknow: In a major breakthrough, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Charbagh and Lucknow’s surveillance team successfully arrested a most-wanted criminal, Dharmendra Kumar alias Mahi, who had a ₹15,000 bounty on his head. The accused was apprehended from Aziznagar Church area in Hyderabad after months of coordinated efforts.
Dharmendra Kumar was wanted in several serious criminal cases registered across Bihar, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. Known for his repeated offenses and evasive tactics, he had previously escaped police custody by taking advantage of a crowded train platform, evading Bihar Police during transit.
Police officials revealed that the accused was listed as a high-priority criminal in the records of UP, Bihar, and Punjab Police. Multiple FIRs had been filed against him involving grave charges, making him a notorious offender across multiple states.

After his arrest, Dharmendra Kumar was produced before a court and subsequently sent to jail. The operation marks a significant success for inter-state police coordination and highlights the increasing effectiveness of surveillance and tracking efforts by law enforcement agencies.
