Lucknow : On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, a special Yoga Camp was successfully held at the auditorium of Gopinath Lakshman Das Rastogi Inter College, Lucknow. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from educators, students, and scouting leaders, reinforcing the message of health and harmony through yoga.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Joint Director of Education Dr. Pradeep Kumar, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Rakesh Kumar, District Organisation Patron and UP Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh State Vice President Dr. R.P. Mishra, and Vice President & Principal of Pioneer Inter College Sharmila Singh, along with District Secretary Anil Sharma. The dignitaries paid tribute to Yoga Guru Maharishi Patanjali by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral garlands.
The yoga camp saw active participation from over 500 Scouts and Guides, 20 Rovers/Rangers, and 55 Scout Masters/Guide Captains. The session was coordinated under the guidance of Joint Secretary Dr. Meeta Srivastava and DOC (Guides) Madhu Hanspal.
Several distinguished principals also joined the event, including Alok Mishra (Principal, Gopinath Lakshman Das Rastogi Inter College), Dr. Pawan Singh (Principal, Vidyant Hindu Inter College), and Dr. Gajendra Kumar Mishra (Principal, Yogeshwar Rishikul Inter College).
Also present were key office bearers of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh, including General Secretary Narendra Kumar Verma, State Minister Dr. R.K. Trivedi, District Minister Mahesh Chand, and State Council Member Shri Vishwajeet Singh.
The event provided a vibrant platform for instilling yoga values among young minds and highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for physical and mental well-being.
