Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has made a strategic move to strengthen its influence among the North Indian migrant community in Maharashtra by appointing Ramcharan Yadav as the State President of its Labor Wing. Yadav, a highly popular leader among laborers and the underprivileged, has been entrusted with the responsibility of expanding the party’s base in the state.
The appointment, made under the directives of SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, highlights the party’s recognition of the large population of North Indian workers in Maharashtra. Many youth from Uttar Pradesh are employed in various industries in the state but lack strong political representation. With Ramcharan Yadav’s leadership, the community now sees a ray of hope for their concerns to be heard.
Expressing gratitude to Akhilesh Yadav, Ramcharan Yadav pledged to strengthen the organization and actively work for laborers and migrants. He also declared that the Samajwadi Party would contest the upcoming municipal elections independently, positioning itself as a strong alternative in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
SP leader Lalu Yadav hailed Ramcharan Yadav’s appointment, stating that his leadership would empower the poor, laborers, and marginalized communities, bringing them closer to the party.
Following his appointment, Ramcharan Yadav received a grand welcome at several locations, with North Indian migrants and SP supporters celebrating his new role with enthusiasm and optimism.
