Lucknow– Dr. L.P. Lal College hosted a grand Student Parliament at its campus in Madhupuram, IIM Road, Bhitouli. The event aimed to cultivate leadership qualities, responsibility, and self-confidence among students, and concluded with a powerful Taekwondo martial arts demonstration by the college team.
The highlight of the event was the election of student leaders for the academic session 2025–26. Rohit Trivedi was elected as Head Boy of Dr. L.P. Lal College, while Marhaba Waqar was named Head Girl. Hamid Akhtar and Arya Singh were appointed Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, respectively.
The student parliament was divided into four houses, each represented by captains, vice-captains, and prefects:
- Gandhi House: Captain Anshika Sharma, Vice-Captain Vikas Sahu; Prefects Avantika Dwivedi, Jeet Rawat, Lakshya Patel, Yograj Pratap, Ilma, and Ariba Khan.
- Nehru House: Captain Deepti Singh, Vice-Captain Kavya Singh; Prefects Priyanka, Manya, Fatima, Iqra, Adarsh, and Mohammad Rehan.
- Lincoln House: Captain Harshita, Vice-Captain Pratigya Yadav; Prefects Lavanya, Shiksha, Piyush, Saksham Kumar Jha, Poorvi, and Drishti.
- Tagore House: Captain Sakshi Yadav, Vice-Captain Prakhar; Prefects Ekta, Priyanshi Rawat, Sonakshi, Swastik, Ayush, Apoorv, and Anshika Singh.
In addition, five main clubs selected student representatives for the year:
- Cultural Club: Anushka Sharma, Chinki, Shashwati, and Shubhangi.
- Science Club: Ansh Upadhyay, Mohammad Rehan, Shreya, and Arnav.
- Literary Club: Sujata, Anmol Tiwari, Shreya, and Aradhya Dixit.
- Reporter Club: Asfi, Stuti Singh, Piyush, and Vartika.
- Sports Club: Abhishek Sharma, Rishi, Srishti Sharma, and Deepti.
The event was applauded for encouraging democratic values, participation, and team spirit among students—laying a strong foundation for future leaders.
