Lucknow : The grand inauguration of a three-day music festival ‘CMS’s Got Talent’ organized by City Montessori School, Station Road Campus, was held today at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Anupama Raag, recipient of the prestigious Yash Bharti Award. In her address, Anupama Raag said that music is a powerful medium to spread the message of unity and peace in society. Praising this musical competition, she stated that music contests not only refine students’ talents but also instill cultural values, civility, and ethics. Renowned music experts Allen Masih, Shivam Mishra, and RJ Prateek were also present on the occasion and encouraged the students with their inspiring presence.
Earlier, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon extended a heartfelt welcome to the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests. She said that this festival is a beautiful confluence of knowledge and art, providing students with an excellent platform to showcase their innate talents. While motivating the participants, Prof. Kingdon said that the curiosity and enthusiasm among students toward art and culture is so profound that these young talents are sure to create history one day.
Following the inaugural ceremony, the music competitions commenced, marked by enthusiastic participation from the students. On the first day of the three-day event ‘CMS’s Got Talent’, Western Rock Band and Indian Band competitions were held. Students from Classes 6 to 12, in both junior and senior categories, participated and won the hearts of the audience with their stunning performances. The event showcased a vibrant blend of student talent and energy, with participants displaying excellence in both Western and Indian music. Each participating band consisted of 3 to 8 students and was allotted 10 minutes for their performance.


Rishi Khanna, Head of Communications at CMS, informed that the series of competitions would continue tomorrow as well. On Wednesday, 16 April, solo singing competitions will be held from 9:00 AM onwards, in which students will present both Indian and Western musical performances.
