Rampur – The atmosphere at Utsav Palace turned devotional and vibrant as the grand inauguration of the *Shri Ram Mahotsav* took place amidst chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” The event was formally inaugurated by District Magistrate Joginder Singh and Superintendent of Police Vidya Sagar Mishra, who jointly cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the beginning of the festival.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome of the guests by members of the Ramleela Committee. The DM and SP were escorted to the Ramleela stage by the melodious tunes of the Ramleela Public Inter College band, while the entire venue echoed with devotional chants.
Adding a spiritual touch, girl students of the college welcomed the dignitaries with a devotional song, followed by the traditional aarti of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
Addressing the gathering, DM Joginder Singh said, “Shri Ram Mahotsav is not just a religious celebration but also a medium to unite society. Such events promote cultural awareness and harmony. The administration is committed to providing full support, and I urge citizens to observe the festival with devotion, peace, and discipline. Lord Ram’s ideals inspire us to follow truth, service, and dedication.”
SP Vidya Sagar Mishra added, “It is a matter of pride that Rampur is celebrating this festival of faith and devotion with such grandeur. Ensuring law and order is our top priority, and we will take every step to guarantee the safety of devotees. I request everyone to cooperate with the administration and maintain discipline. Lord Ram’s teachings guide us toward peace and harmony in society.”
At the conclusion of the program, Vishnu Sharan Agrawal, President of Shri Sanatan Ramleela Committee, and Virendra Kumar Garg, General Secretary, honored the chief guests with mementoes. Other office-bearers, including Sunil Kumar Goyal (Soni Tau), Harish Chandra Agrawal, Subhash Chandra Agrawal, Ishwar Saran Agrawal, Vinod Kumar Gupta, Ved Prakash Verma, Arvind Kumar Agrawal, Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Nirbhay Kumar Garg, Dr. Saurabh Gupta, Jugesh Arora (Kukku Bhai), Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, Dr. Ajay Kumar Agrawal, Anil Vashisth, Engineer Shailendra Kumar Goyal, Arun Kumar Agrawal, Ram Pratap Saraf, Anil Kumar Chaurasia, Rajeev Saran Garg, Vineet Kumar Agrawal, and many others were also present.
The inaugural evening concluded in an atmosphere of devotion, joy, and discipline, with thousands of devotees and dignitaries participating. Attendees described the event as a shining example of religious harmony and praised the organizers for their efforts.
