Noida/Lucknow: The India Skills National Competition 2025–26, organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, concluded with a grand ceremony in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar. The event celebrated the talent, innovation, and excellence of youth from across the country, with participation from trainers, industry representatives, and distinguished guests.
Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, lauded the initiative, calling Skill India “not merely a government scheme but a nationwide movement” and urged youth to pursue continuous learning, emphasizing that perseverance is the key to success.
Special guest Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, Cabinet Minister, Rajasthan Government, praised the participants, highlighting that skill defines a person’s identity and that international participation would elevate India’s talent globally.
UP State Minister for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), Kapil Dev Agrawal, noted that skill empowers youth for self-reliance and global opportunities, marking a crucial step toward a developed India 2047.

The event showcased exceptional performances by Uttar Pradesh participants, who secured numerous medals: Nitin Kumar (Prayagraj, Wall & Floor Tiling) and Suryansh Gupta (Agra, Renewable Energy) won gold; Satvik Goyal (Moradabad, Industrial Design Technology) and Junaid (Ghaziabad, Carpentry) won silver; Gambhir Singh (Farrukhabad, Beauty Therapy), Lavanya Shukla (Lucknow, Graphic Design), and Sheetal Verma (Kanpur, Painting & Decorating) claimed bronze.
CEO of NSDC, Arun Kumar Pillai, described the competition as a celebration of dedication and excellence, fostering confidence and employment opportunities. Pulkit Khare, Director of Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, congratulated winners and extended best wishes for the upcoming World Skills Competition, noting the state’s consistent excellence at national levels.
The three-day event, attended by ministers, officials, industry leaders, skill experts, and thousands of participants, reinforced India Skills as a platform for youth to showcase talent, embrace innovation, and contribute to employment-driven growth, preparing the next generation for global achievements.
