Gonda: A grand event was organized at Venkatacharya Club in Gonda to mark the completion of nine years of the Uttar Pradesh government’s development journey. The programme, held under the aegis of the district administration, showcased the state’s achievements and featured the inauguration of a development fair.
The event was chaired by District Panchayat President Ghanshyam Mishra and attended by the Chief Development Officer, senior officials from various departments, and members of the public.
During the programme, attendees watched a live telecast from Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, where the annual report titled “Nine Years of Transformation” was released. The broadcast highlighted the key accomplishments of the state government over the past nine years.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the inauguration of a development fair focused on rural progress. Various departments set up stalls to display achievements, ongoing schemes, and public welfare initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, Mishra said that Uttar Pradesh has witnessed significant improvements in law and order, infrastructure, healthcare services, road connectivity, and power supply over the past nine years. He noted that government schemes have reached both rural and urban populations, accelerating inclusive growth.

Highlighting women’s empowerment as a priority, he said initiatives such as self-help groups, safety measures, and employment-oriented programmes have helped women become self-reliant. He also emphasized continued efforts to connect youth with employment and self-employment opportunities.
Public representatives expressed gratitude to the people and stated that governance marked by transparency and welfare-oriented policies has ushered in a new era of development. They reiterated the commitment to inclusive growth and collective progress.
The programme concluded with officials interacting with beneficiaries of various schemes, listening to their feedback, and addressing their concerns. Senior district officials, including the District Development Officer and other department representatives, were also present.
