Lucknow: Under leadership of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, a grand celebration of the Uttar Pradesh State Foundation Day took place at Raj Bhavan. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the state through a series of mesmerizing cultural programs, offering a unique experience to the audience and highlighting the diversity of the state’s traditions.
Governor Patel lauded the performances by students from Pratap Narayan Mishra Memorial Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Lakhimpur Kheri, Surabhi Research Institute, Mirzapur, and the artists from the Uttar Pradesh Department of Culture. The program featured captivating performances of tribal songs and dances, including Tharu, Shaila, Sakhiya, Karma, and Ramleela, which left the audience enthralled.
During the event, the Governor interacted with students and performers, appreciating their talent and engaging with them about their families, education, agriculture, livestock, and the benefits of government welfare schemes. She encouraged the artists to recognize their potential and develop a habit of hard work from an early age.

Governor Patel emphasized the collective responsibility of the government and society in uplifting marginalized communities and aiding those residing in remote villages, forests, hills, and riverbanks. She also provided guidance to school students about their future plans and motivated them to participate in programs such as the Student Police Cadet and Band Training initiatives.
Highlighting the role of women, the Governor stated that the 21st century belongs to women and urged them to seize every opportunity to progress.


The event also featured a special exhibition showcasing the diversity of Uttar Pradesh, including its eminent personalities, cuisine, traditional attire, musical instruments, historical monuments, and famous landmarks. Governor Patel explored the exhibition and admired the artistic display of rangoli.
Additionally, a documentary on Uttar Pradesh’s diversity and development was screened, leaving a profound impact on the attendees. The program also included a broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s thoughts on the Constitution from his “Mann Ki Baat” address.
The event was attended by Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, Special Secretary Shri Shriprakash Gupta, Officer on Special Duty Shri Ashok Desai, Officer on Special Duty (Education) Dr. Pankaj L. Jani, and all officials and staff of Raj Bhavan.
The celebration served as a remarkable tribute to the state’s culture, achievements, and commitment to progress.
