Lucknow | In a major boost to education infrastructure in the state capital, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed building of Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya Jan Bhavan, developed at a cost of ₹5.17 crore.
On the occasion, the dignitaries also released the book “Hamara Jan Bhavan” and handed over the keys of a newly procured school bus to the principal and driver for the convenience of students.
Top Leaders Review Modern Facilities
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Secondary Education Minister Gulab Rani and Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh.
The dignitaries toured the campus and reviewed state-of-the-art facilities including artificial intelligence and robotics labs, Wi-Fi-enabled computer labs, a well-equipped library, and Anganwadi classrooms. They also appreciated the use of energy-efficient construction technologies such as thermal insulation using मिट्टी के घड़े, hollow brick walls, and innovative façade systems.
Students Impress with Innovation
The Governor and Chief Minister interacted with students across classrooms and at the ‘Sunita Williams Space Lab’, where they observed innovative models prepared by students. The Chief Minister praised the students’ curiosity, knowledge, and creativity, calling the institution a model for modern education.
Cultural performances by students from the school and Rajkiya Balika Grih, Sindhi Kheda, including Saraswati Vandana, patriotic songs, and “Bharat Darshan” themed folk dances, added vibrancy to the event. A documentary showcasing innovations at Jan Bhavan over the past seven years was also screened.
Governor Emphasizes Education and Anganwadi Empowerment
Addressing the gathering, Governor Anandiben Patel stressed the importance of expanding enrollment and ensuring that quality education reaches more children. She highlighted that around 450 students are currently enrolled and suggested increasing capacity up to 1,000 students, even if it requires running classes in two shifts.
She also underlined the critical role of Anganwadis in social transformation, stating that strengthening these centres is essential for the holistic development of children, especially from underprivileged backgrounds.
The Governor noted that the school has been developed with the support of the state government and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and praised efforts to integrate academics with sports and co-curricular activities.

CM Calls School a Model for Future Education
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the institution as a benchmark for basic and secondary education in the state. He emphasized the need for modern, technology-driven education systems and highlighted the importance of nurturing curiosity among students.
Quoting a Sanskrit verse, he said that every individual has the potential to excel when guided properly. He added that institutions like this could nurture future scientists and innovators like Aryabhata, Varahamihira, Sushruta, Charaka, Jagadish Chandra Bose, and C V Raman.
Ministers Laud Initiative
Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya termed the transformation of Raj Bhavan into ‘Jan Bhavan’ a historic step and praised the Governor’s leadership in advancing education. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna highlighted the school as a symbol of quality, affordable, and technology-enabled education.
Education Minister Gulab Rani emphasized the importance of emotional bonding between teachers and students, while Sandeep Singh lauded the Governor’s vision in transforming the institution into a modern learning hub.
Modern, Eco-Friendly Infrastructure
According to officials, the school has been constructed within 12 months using eco-friendly and energy-efficient technologies. It includes facilities such as rainwater harvesting, solar power systems, LED lighting, fire safety mechanisms, CCTV surveillance, and advanced laboratories including AI, robotics, and space science labs linked with ISRO initiatives.
The programme was attended by senior officials, including Sudhir Mahadev Bobde and Additional Chief Secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, along with vice-chancellors, teachers, students, and members of various organizations.
The newly inaugurated Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya at Jan Bhavan is expected to serve as a model institution, blending modern infrastructure with value-based education to shape future generations.
