Government working on better rural road infra

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that in the Union Budget focused on poor welfare and overall development, the government’s treasury has been opened for rural development and village-oriented schemes.

In the budget, provision has been made to allocate two crore houses in the country under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, in which more than 60 thousand eligible people already identified in Uttar Pradesh will be allotted houses on priority basis, even after that a survey will be conducted, on the basis of the survey, arrangements will be made to allocate houses to those who are found eligible.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that in the budget, a provision of Rs 2020 crore has been made for UP in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The Deputy Chief Minister said that in the Union Budget, the launch of the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has been announced, in which 25000 rural settlements will be provided all-weather roads.
