Lucknow: Goswami Tulsidas played an important role in the reconstruction of Indian society. Through the description of Ramrajya, he presented an ideal of good governance to the Indian society. Describing the qualities of an ideal king through the character of Lord Rama is a great achievement of Goswami Tulsidas. The above statement was expressed by internationally renowned scholar Professor Surya Prasad Dixit in the Tulsi Jayanti celebration and seminar organized by the Hindi department of National PG College Lucknow. On this occasion, a seminar was also organized on the subject of good governance in Ramcharitmanas. Addressing the seminar, Professor Dixit said that Goswami Tulsidas established the best ideals of good governance in his scriptures.
An ideal good governance is where the ideals of freedom, equality and fraternity are properly followed. This feeling is found at every step in Tulsi literature. At the beginning of the seminar, the Principal of the college Professor Devendra Kumar Singh welcomed the chief guest and said that today’s youth needs the life values established by Goswami Tulsidas a lot.
