Gonda – In a proactive move to ensure peaceful and secure Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, Superintendent of Police (SP) Gonda, Vineet Jaiswal, personally oversaw security arrangements across the city. During the festival, he conducted extensive patrols, inspected major Eidgahs and prayer venues, and directed police personnel to remain vigilant and alert.
The SP engaged with local religious leaders, mosque committees, and prominent citizens to promote coordination and maintain communal harmony. Adequate arrangements for crowd management, traffic control, and barricading were verified, and deployment of women police personnel ensured the safety of female devotees.
Special attention was given to sensitive areas, busy markets, and key intersections, with continuous surveillance through drone cameras. In addition, police stations across the district conducted regular patrolling, intensified checks on suspicious persons and vehicles, and kept Quick Response Teams (QRTs) on alert. The social media monitoring cell maintained vigilance to prevent the spread of rumors and misinformation.

SP Jaiswal appealed to the citizens to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with joy, brotherhood, and harmony, while remaining cautious and reporting any suspicious activity promptly. The Gonda police have ensured all necessary measures for a safe, secure, and peaceful festival.
