Lucknow — In a major breakthrough, the Gomti Nagar Police along with the Crime Team led by in-charge Shivanand Mishra successfully arrested four members of a gang involved in car robbery and theft. The swift action of the police has earned appreciation as the case was solved within just two days.
The arrested accused were involved in robbing and stealing four-wheeler vehicles from different parts of the city. During the operation, the police recovered two stolen cars, including a Maruti Swift Dzire and an Ignis.
According to police officials, a Maruti Swift Dzire was looted a few days ago, and in another incident, a car was stolen from in front of Ambedkar Park recently. Acting on surveillance and intelligence, the joint team traced the accused and apprehended them before they could dispose of the vehicles.
Commissionerate Police confirmed that the gang was planning further thefts. Their arrest has helped prevent additional crimes in the area.
