Lucknow – The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant recruitment drive aimed at empowering women. Under the directive of the state administration, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is set to conduct a large-scale direct recruitment of female conductors. A total of 5,000 positions will be filled, and preparations for the hiring process have already begun.
Eligibility Criteria
According to official reports, interested female candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum educational qualification: 12th pass.
- Must possess a Triple C or CCC certification.
- Candidates can apply directly by visiting the nearest UPSRTC office with their necessary documents.
Employment Fair in Every District
To streamline the recruitment process, the Transport Department will organize employment fairs at UPSRTC workshops in every district. These fairs will serve as recruitment centers for conducting the selection process.
For instance, in Prayagraj region, the recruitment drive will be held on March 4, 2025, at the Jhunsi UPSRTC workshop. Similarly, in Meerut, the employment fair will take place at the UPSRTC depot on February 20, 2025.
Contract-Based Recruitment and Salary Details
The selected female conductors will be hired on a contractual basis. Their salary will be calculated at INR 2.02 per kilometer. Additionally, contractual employees will receive an accident insurance cover of up to INR 7.50 lakh.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in High School and Intermediate examinations. Merit lists will be prepared accordingly to ensure a transparent hiring process.
Women interested in applying for these positions are encouraged to attend the employment fairs in their respective districts with all necessary documents. This initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government is expected to significantly boost women’s employment opportunities and empower them economically.
