Lucknow — Marking its 18th Foundation Day, Goel Group of Institutions (GGI) celebrated the occasion with a powerful dual commitment to environmental sustainability and public health. Observed as “Plantation Day,” the event also showcased the institution’s support for the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan through a nutritional aid initiative for tuberculosis patients.
In keeping with its annual tradition, GGI faculty and staff members planted over 500 saplings across the campus, reaffirming the institute’s dedication to building a green, sustainable future. The plantation drive not only commemorated the foundation of the institution but also highlighted its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship alongside academic growth.
Adding a social welfare dimension to the celebrations, GGI collaborated with the District Health Department to distribute ‘Poshan Potlis’ (nutritional kits) to 50 TB patients. This initiative, aligned with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), aims to support patient recovery through protein-rich, immunity-boosting nutrition — a critical component in India’s mission to eliminate tuberculosis by 2025.

The Foundation Day program was held in the Central Hall of GGI and was graced by several prominent dignitaries. Chief Guest Ashok Agarwal, MLC from Sandila, was joined by Vishal Vikram Singh, Additional SP, STF (Govt. of UP), Chairman Er. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, Vice Chairman Murari Lal Agarwal, and CEO Sri Samarth Goel. Also in attendance were institutional leaders, department heads, and key health officials including Dr. A.K. Singhal (District TB Officer), Shahnawaz (Senior Treatment Supervisor), and Sri Saumitra Mishra (District PPM Coordinator).
This year’s celebration emphasized GGI’s broader vision of holistic education, environmental care, and social impact. By integrating ecological responsibility with community health outreach, Goel Group continues to foster a spirit of nation-building through education and service.
