Global Star Ram Charan Named Brand Ambassador of India’s First Archery Premier League

New Delhi: The Archery Association of India (AAI) has announced acclaimed actor and global icon Ram Charan as the brand ambassador for the inaugural Archery Premier League (APL). The historic league is set to take place from October 2 to 12, 2025, at the Yamuna Sports Complex, New Delhi.

India’s First Franchise-Based Archery League
The APL marks India’s first franchise-based archery competition, featuring top recurve and compound archers from India and across the world. A total of six teams will compete, comprising 36 Indian players and 12 international athletes. Notably, for the first time, both formats will compete under floodlights, adding a unique spectacle for fans.

Ram Charan’s Statement
Ram Charan said, “Archery is a sport of discipline, focus, and perseverance—values I deeply connect with. The Archery Premier League will provide Indian talent with a global platform and inspire future generations of athletes. Being part of this initiative is a matter of great pride for me.”

AAI’s Perspective
AAI President Arjun Munda emphasized that the APL aims to fulfill the dreams of Indian archers and elevate the sport to new heights, adding that Ram Charan’s association strengthens this mission. AAI Secretary General Virendra Sachdeva noted that just as other sports leagues transformed their games, the APL will bring a fresh dimension to Indian archery, attracting new audiences.

The APL enjoys backing from World Archery, World Archery Asia, and the Ministry of Sports, Government of India, marking a historic milestone in the development of Indian archery.
