GEON Launches All-in-One Power Backup Solution for Homes and Small Businesses

New Delhi: Amid persistent challenges such as power cuts, voltage fluctuations and unreliable electricity supply across several parts of the country, uninterrupted and dependable power backup has become a necessity rather than a luxury for households and small businesses. Addressing this growing need, energy storage company GEON has introduced a next-generation all-in-one power backup solution designed to offer reliable, maintenance-free performance.

GEON, a part of Kabra Extrusion Technik Limited, which carries a legacy of over 60 years, and the engineering-driven Kolsite Group, has launched the G Lithium Integrated Inverter Solution. This product marks the company’s entry into the fast-growing integrated inverter segment and strengthens its presence in the evolving energy storage market.

The key highlight of the new solution is its compact, all-in-one design, which integrates the inverter and a built-in lithium-ion battery into a single unit. This eliminates the need for separate batteries, heavy cabling, and complex installations, making it a practical option for homes, clinics, small retail outlets, offices and light commercial establishments.

Industry estimates suggest that over 40 million households and small businesses in India rely on power backup for daily operations, especially in semi-urban regions and parts of central and eastern India where voltage instability and frequent outages are common. Despite this, nearly 70 percent of existing backup systems are still based on traditional lead-acid technology, which requires regular maintenance, water topping, frequent servicing and suffers performance degradation over time.

The G Lithium Integrated Inverter has been designed to overcome these limitations. It uses advanced Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) prismatic cells, supported by an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS). The system offers fast charging, multi-layer safety features, stable output and a longer operational life, while consuming up to 95 percent less power compared to conventional setups.

Unlike lead-acid systems, the new solution is fully sealed and maintenance-free, removing concerns related to corrosion, water refilling or repeated service calls. This results in lower overall costs for customers and fewer complaints for dealer partners. The G Lithium range includes multiple models catering to varying power requirements, allowing dealers to serve both residential and small business customers through a single product line.

Commenting on the launch, Anand Kabra, Chairman and Managing Director, GEON, said that longevity and reliability have become more important than just upfront pricing in power backup solutions. He noted that G Lithium combines lithium technology, battery management and inverter systems into one seamless unit, delivering consistent, hassle-free performance that conventional lead-acid setups cannot match.

Designed to support the growing number of electronic devices in homes and offices, the system ensures clean and stable power for sensitive equipment such as medical devices, laptops, Wi-Fi systems, CCTV cameras and billing machines. With an easy-to-read display that provides system status at a glance, G Lithium positions itself as a future-ready, dependable power backup solution for modern users.

Overall, the launch underscores GEON’s focus on innovation-driven, customer-centric energy solutions that meet the demands of today’s power-dependent lifestyles while offering long-term value to consumers, dealers and partners alike.
