Lucknow: Genpact and Lucknow University Plan to Collaborate to Enhance Career Opportunities Through an Interactive Meeting with the Central Placement Cell

The Central Placement Cell (CPC) of the University of Lucknow organized an interactive meeting with Genpact, a leading multinational business process and IT services company, under the esteemed guidance of the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. The session, led by CPC Director Prof. A.K. Bhartiya, was aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration and creating career opportunities for students.
The meeting commenced with a presentation by the student coordinator of CPC, introducing the University of Lucknow and outlining the CPC’s mission and initiatives. Prof. A.K. Bhartiya extended a warm welcome to Global Hiring Lead, Ritu Bhatia, at Genpact, and Rajiv Khatri, Genpact’s India and Asia Hiring Lead, and introduced them to the CPC members.
Key discussions during the session focused on career growth, training, and placement opportunities for the university’s students. The representatives from Genpact highlighted the company’s inclusive hiring approach, emphasizing the potential for students from all disciplines, including non-professional courses like B.A. and B.Sc., to participate in their recruitment drives.
Both CPC members and Genpact representatives shared valuable insights, fostering meaningful dialogue. Prof. A.K. Bhartiya and his team also showcased the university’s academic and professional strengths, presenting impactful statistics and achievements. The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the Associate Director of CPC, Prof. Shiv Puri.
This interactive meeting is part of a broader collaboration between Genpact and the University of Lucknow. Genpact, operating in over 35 countries, views Lucknow as a hub of skilled talent. As part of its expansion plans in Lucknow, Genpact aims to establish a robust presence in the region, targeting over 1,800 employees. The company successfully recruited more than 300 students in the previous campus placement drive and is now gearing up for its first technical campus recruitment drive at the university.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to nurturing talent and fostering growth, opening new pathways for students while reinforcing Lucknow’s reputation as a center of academic and professional excellence.
