Lucknow: In the weekly programme series organised as part of the 104th foundation day celebrations of Lucknow University, Ganga hostel of the second campus organised an indoor games competition today. In this competition, students from various hostels of the university participated in carrom and chess.
These competitions were organised under the able patronage of the honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai and under the guidance of Chief Provost Professor Anup Kumar Singh and Dean Student Welfare Professor VK Sharma. 26 students participated in the competitions. Divyanshu Yadav of Homi Jehangir Bhabha hostel secured the first position in carrom and Aarti Kumari of Lavanya hostel was the runner-up.
Ayushman Kumar of Kautilya hostel secured the first position and Shrishant of Homi Jehangir Bhabha hostel secured the second position in chess. Dr. Pranavesh Kumar, Dr. Ajay Manjhi, Dr. Rajkumar Mishra, Dr. Ritu Singh and Dr. Lubna Azmi were the judges of these competitions.
The competitions were successfully organized by Ganga Hall’s Provost Dr. Neetam Singh and Assistant Provost Dr. Pranati Srivastava. The student coordinators of the program were Kaushiki Kasera and Kashish Yadav. On this occasion, Additional Chief Provost Dr. Anupama Srivastava inaugurated the sports. Provosts and Assistant Provosts of all the hostels were present in the program.
