AYODHYA: Former Member of Parliament Lallu Singh officially inaugurated a newly constructed funeral site (Antyesti Sthal) in the village of Fatehpur Saraiya, under the Bikapur assembly constituency. Built at an estimated cost of ₹24.36 lakh, the facility aims to address the long-standing demands of the local residents for a dignified space for last rites.
Restoring Dignity to Last Rites
Unveiling the ceremonial plaque, the former MP emphasized that basic infrastructure for sensitive occasions like funerals is a fundamental necessity for rural communities.
“Providing respectful arrangements for last rites in rural areas is essential. This facility is not just about infrastructure; it is about providing convenience and support to families during their most difficult times,” stated Lallu Singh.
He further reiterated his commitment to the overall development of the region, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen roads, drinking water supply, electricity, and community structures.
