Mumbai: The ‘Shatak’ Flag Yatra, organised to promote the film “Shatak: Sangh ke 100 Varsh” marking 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), successfully completed its first phase from Srinagar to Punjab. Covering key cities including Srinagar, Jammu, and Ludhiana, the yatra brought people together, reinforcing the spirit of unity and national pride.
The journey commenced from the iconic Lal Chowk in Srinagar, where, for the first time since Independence, a saffron flag was unfurled with pride. The atmosphere resonated with slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” creating a deeply patriotic environment. A large number of citizens participated in the event, making the moment a powerful symbol of collective unity.
In Jammu, the ‘Shatak’ Flag Yatra received a warm and enthusiastic public welcome. The event highlighted values of service, discipline, and unity inspired by the ideals of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and the vision of Guruji Golwalkar.
The first leg of the yatra concluded in Ludhiana, where the city witnessed vibrant celebrations marked by the sound of traditional drums, widespread public participation, and a rally of 100 motorcycles symbolising 100 years of the RSS. The celebrations filled the city with enthusiasm and pride. A felicitation ceremony was also organised to honour volunteers who have rendered selfless service to society.

Speaking on the occasion, RSS worker and film producer Veer Kapoor said, “The beginning of the Shatak Flag Yatra from Lal Chowk—where the saffron flag was unfurled once again after Independence and the chants of ‘Vande Mataram’ echoed—was an immensely proud and emotional moment for me. Through Shatak: The Film and this yatra, we are celebrating 100 years of service by the Sangh and the spirit of unity that binds our nation together.”
Produced by Veer Kapoor in association with Panorama Studios, co-produced by Ashish Tiwari, and directed by Ashish Mall, the film “Shatak: Sangh ke 100 Varsh” is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on February 19, 2026.
