SR XI Defeats Media XI in a Thrilling Encounter
Lucknow: A friendly cricket match was held on Sunday at the SR Group of Institutions, located in BKT, Lucknow. The exciting match was played between SR XI and Media XI, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship between the media fraternity and the faculty members of SR Group.
The match began with Media XI winning the toss and opting to bat first. Despite early setbacks, Prahlad Singh (36 runs off 43 balls) and Arpit Yadav (41 runs off 33 balls) played commendable innings, helping the team post a competitive total of 133 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In response, SR XI chased down the target with great composure and determination, securing victory with three balls to spare. Key contributions from Raunak Khan, Ashish Yadav, and Piyush Singh Chauhan played a vital role in the team’s triumph.
Speaking on the occasion, Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice Chairman of SR Group of Institutions, said, “This friendly match played with members of the media was not only thrilling but also highly inspirational.
