CMT & AHSC hosts grand celebration at CV Raman Auditorium
Lucknow: A lively and long-awaited Freshers’ Party was organised for the new batch of B.Sc. students of the College of Medical Technology and Allied Health Sciences (CMT & AHSC) at SGPGI. The celebration, held at the CV Raman Auditorium, marked an enthusiastic welcome for young students stepping into their academic journey.
The event owed its success to the dedicated efforts of the student organisers, who meticulously planned and executed the programme. The occasion saw the presence of several distinguished guests. The chief guest, Padma Shri Prof. R.K. Dhiman, Director of SGPGI, formally inaugurated the ceremony.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Dean Prof. Manoj Jain, Sub-Dean Prof. Ankur Bhatnagar of the College of Nursing and CMT, Executive Registrar Lt. Col. Varun Bajpai, CMT Nodal Officer Dr. Lokendra Sharma, and CMT Provost Dr. Zafar Neyaz.

The programme featured a vibrant lineup of performances, including energetic dance and music showcases by the students. A captivating fashion show emerged as one of the event’s prime highlights, drawing cheers and applause from the audience. The afternoon reflected the excitement of fresh beginnings as the SGPGI family warmly embraced its newest members.
In a proud moment for the entire batch, Manavendra Tripathi, a seventh-semester Bachelor of Physiotherapy student, was elected Student Union President. Adding to the celebration, Noor Mohammad from B.Sc. Radiodiagnosis was crowned Mr Fresher, while Shambhavi Rastogi from B.Sc. Renal Dialysis won the title of Miss Fresher.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by CMT faculty members Dr. Krishnakant Mishra and Dr. Sudhanshu Yadav, who expressed gratitude to all guests, organisers, and students for making the celebration a memorable success.
