Lucknow — Tributes poured in today as family members, followers, and well-wishers gathered to mark the 35th death anniversary of freedom fighter, former MLA, and the first Zila Parishad Chairman of Lucknow, Pandit Rampal Trivedi. A solemn ceremony was held at his memorial site located on the premises of Rampal Trivedi Inter College in Gosainganj, the school he had established for underprivileged children.
The tribute was led by Mohnish Trivedi, President of the Rampal Trivedi Seva Sansthan and great-grandson of the late leader, alongside Ashish Trivedi, the institution’s General Secretary. Both offered floral tributes at the statue and resting place of Pandit Trivedi and paid their respects.
Speaking at the event, Mohnish Trivedi reflected on his great-grandfather’s remarkable life, saying, “My grandfather dedicated his youth to India’s independence struggle. He spent 12 years in British jails during various movements. After independence, he was elected twice as MLA from Malihabad and thrice from Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT). His contributions toward the upliftment of farmers and the underprivileged remain unmatched.”

Rampal Trivedi’s legacy as a freedom fighter, educationist, and social reformer was fondly remembered by the attendees. His vision led to the establishment of the Rampal Trivedi Inter College, which continues to provide quality education to rural and economically backward children in the region.
The event concluded with prayers for peace and a reaffirmation of the community’s commitment to the ideals of equality, service, and sacrifice — values that Pandit Trivedi lived by throughout his life.
