Free Helmet Distribution Campaign Organized by ACP Indrapal Singh to Raise Road Safety Awareness in Lucknow

Lucknow: In a bid to raise awareness about road safety and traffic regulations, a special helmet distribution and awareness campaign was organized on Tuesday at Ahimamau Chauraha under the supervision of DCP Traffic Kamlesh Dixit. The event, supported by S.K. Finance Company, saw 100 free helmets distributed to two-wheeler riders not wearing helmets.

ACP Traffic Indrapal Singh, who spearheaded the initiative, emphasized the importance of helmet usage. “Wearing a helmet is essential for your safety. Accidents are unpredictable, and both the rider and pillion must wear helmets to safeguard their lives and families,” said Singh while addressing the public.

The initiative was aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s strict enforcement of traffic regulations in the state. With increasing traffic congestion in urban areas like Lucknow, the campaign not only focused on rule enforcement but also encouraged responsible driving habits that ensure the safety of all road users.

During the event, ACP Singh personally handed over helmets to riders and urged them to follow traffic rules diligently. The campaign also featured guidance sessions where officers explained the importance of traffic discipline in reducing road fatalities and ensuring smoother commute experiences.

Speaking at the event, Ravindra Bajpai, State Head of S.K. Finance, highlighted their ongoing commitment to public safety. “We’ve been organizing such initiatives regularly. During the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, we distributed over 200 free helmets. Supporting the traffic police not only boosts their morale but also helps save lives on the roads,” he said.

The event saw the active participation of S.K. Finance’s team members, including ZHR Shahroz Khan, Ravindra Prakash Shukla, Nitin Dubey, Anand Dwivedi, and Rachit Sharma, who contributed to the smooth execution of the drive.

Prominent figures present included TI Shailesh Pandey, Pankaj Sharma from Lucknow Traffic Park, TSI Deepchand, and DCP’s peskar Vikas Singh, along with several traffic police personnel and hundreds of commuters who witnessed and supported the campaign.

The Lucknow traffic department continues to undertake such proactive measures, combining enforcement with education, to build a safer and more responsible driving culture across the city.
