Lucknow: The SMS Group of Institutions is deeply saddened to announce the passing of its Founder and Chairman, Satish Kumar Singh, at the age of 73. He breathed his last at his residence in Noida. His demise has left an irreplaceable void in the field of education and among all those who had the honor of working with him.
Satish Kumar Singh, a native of Basti, Uttar Pradesh, retired as Joint Commissioner from the Food and Civil Supplies Department of Uttar Pradesh.
With a profound commitment to social upliftment through education, he laid the foundation of the School of Management Sciences (SMS) in 1995. Driven by his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication, the institution flourished and expanded with the establishment of SMS Lucknow in 2008.
His passion for integrating spiritual and scientific learning led to the creation of the Vedic Science Centre and the Sir C.V. Raman Centre for Research and Innovation at SMS Lucknow. These pioneering initiatives, part of his long-term educational strategy “Vision-2030”, contributed significantly to SMS Lucknow earning the prestigious NAAC A+ accreditation.


A condolence meeting was held at SMS Lucknow where Floral tributes were offered in Shri Singh’s memory by eminent educationists, social workers, and members of the media. The entire institution also gathered to pay homage. Present at the solemn occasion were Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar , Director , Director General, Technical, Dr. Bharatraj Singh, Director Administration, Dr. Jagdish Singh Associate Director, Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Registrar S.N. Shukla, Deans, Heads of Departments, as well as academic and non-academic staff.
The SMS family stands in heartfelt solidarity with Sharad Singh, CEO of SMS Group and son of Satish Kumar Singh, and extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family during this time of grief.
