Karachi. Former chief of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, Faiz Hameed, has been detained by the army. Action has been initiated against Lieutenant General (Retired) Faiz Hameed under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act. ISPR said that Faiz Hameed has been taken into military custody.

In a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), it has been said that former intelligence chief of Pakistan Faiz Hameed has been arrested by the army.

Following the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a team of the Pakistani Army had investigated to find out the complaints made in the Top City Case against former Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, in which many cases have come to light.

Apart from this, after the retirement of Faiz Hameed, many cases of violation of Pakistan Army Act have also come to light. For which disciplinary action has been initiated against retired Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed under the rules of Pakistan Army Act.

At present, the process of Field General Court Martial has been started and Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (retired) has been taken into military custody.
