Focus on Technology-Driven MSMEs and 100% Utilisation of Welfare Scheme Budgets

Lucknow: Emphasising the Yogi government’s commitment to strengthening traditional industries and boosting employment, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Khadi and Village Industries, Silk, Handloom and Textile Industries, Rakesh Sachan,  reviewed the progress of departmental schemes and budget utilisation in detail.

The review meeting was held at the auditorium of the Khadi and Village Industries Board, 8 Tilak Marg, Lucknow, where the minister assessed the financial and physical progress of schemes implemented by the MSME Department, Khadi and Village Industries Department, and the Handloom and Textile Department. He directed officials to ensure there is no laxity in the implementation of the Yogi government’s priority and public welfare schemes and that benefits reach eligible beneficiaries in a timely manner.

Toolkit Distribution Under Vishwakarma Scheme on UP Day
Minister Sachan instructed that on the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day, to be celebrated on January 24, toolkits must be distributed to all trainees who have completed training under the Vishwakarma Scheme. He directed that necessary instructions be issued to district magistrates to ensure the active participation of Members of Parliament, MLAs and district in-charge ministers in these programmes. He also called for the preparation of a detailed progress report on the Vishwakarma Scheme at the earliest.

Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign to Reach Grassroots
The minister directed that the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign be implemented more effectively by strengthening it at the tehsil and block levels. He stressed the importance of ensuring participation of public representatives in camps organised under the campaign to enhance outreach and encourage more youth to take up entrepreneurship.

Revitalising Khadi and Traditional Industries
Rakesh Sachan said the Yogi government is continuously working to develop khadi as a symbol of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh. He instructed officials to align khadi blankets and other products with modern market demand, ensure consistent quality improvement and enhance production capacity. Regular inspections of khadi production units were also emphasised to strengthen operational efficiency.

The minister further directed that inactive khadi production societies be identified and their land and assets physically inspected for necessary follow-up action. He stressed proper utilisation of government land, removal of illegal encroachments and protection of departmental assets.

Boosting MSMEs Through Technology and Coordination
Highlighting the broader vision of the state government, Sachan said the Yogi government is committed to accelerating growth in the MSME sector through job creation, preservation of traditional industries and integration of modern technology. He instructed officials to work in close coordination, ensure 100 percent effective utilisation of the allocated budget and deliver result-oriented outcomes in line with government priorities.

He added that effective implementation of these schemes is empowering artisans, weavers and entrepreneurs across the state and steadily moving Uttar Pradesh towards self-reliance.
