Lucknow – In a major development from the Uttar Pradesh capital, multiple rounds of gunfire were reported in the Chinhat police station area late on Monday evening, according to sources.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the assailants fired several rounds at their targets before fleeing the scene. The sudden eruption of violence has left the area in shock, prompting a swift and heavy deployment of police personnel to the site of the incident.
Two individuals, identified as Ejaz and Khalik, sustained gunshot wounds during the firing. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and their current condition remains under observation.
Senior police officials are at the scene, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the attack and identify the attackers. The police have launched a search operation and are examining CCTV footage from the area to gather clues.
