Ayodhya: A cinematic portrayal of one of India’s most significant socio-religious movements, the film “695 The Ayodhya” will be released on August 5 at the Awadh Mall in Ayodhya, a date that marks the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Ram Mandir in 2020. The film is based on 500 years of struggle leading to the construction of the Ram Temple.
The film’s title—695—symbolizes three key dates in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement:
- 6: December 6, 1992 – Demolition of the disputed Babri structure
- 9: November 9, 2019 – Supreme Court verdict in favour of Ram Mandir
- 5: August 5, 2020 – Bhoomi Pujan for the temple
This symbolic narrative is deeply rooted in historical and cultural milestones that have defined the Ayodhya movement over centuries.
