Lucknow– The FICCI FLO Lucknow Chapter inaugurated its much-awaited Karigar Mela 2025 at Khadi Gram Udyog Bhawan, Dali Bagh, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The two-day fair is a vibrant celebration of India’s craft heritage, bringing together artisans from across the country to showcase and sell their handmade creations.
The mela features an array of exquisite crafts including Amethi’s Munj products, Kannauj’s fragrances, Awadhi silver footwear, Madhubani paintings, festive gifts, jewelry, crochet, bone carving, glassware, and lifestyle products. Visitors lauded the event for highlighting sustainable, authentic, and timeless artistry that continues to resonate with contemporary lifestyles.
The event was inaugurated by Khadi and Village Industries and MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, who praised the initiative for creating direct market opportunities for artisans. “Such fairs provide a vital platform for local weavers and craftspeople to receive recognition, fair prices, and encouragement for their traditional skills,” he said.
Vandita Agarwal, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Lucknow Chapter, emphasized that the mela’s objective is not only to support livelihoods but also to preserve India’s cultural heritage. The event is being co-chaired by Aditi Jaggi and Riya Punjabi.
Adding to the occasion, Swati Verma, FICCI FLO National Handloom and Handicrafts Head, extended her support, while former chairpersons Aarushi Tandon and Vibha Agarwal, along with FLO members Simran Sahni, Devanshi Seth, Smriti Garg, Shama Gupta, Bhavna Animesh, and Vanita Yadav, marked their presence. Over 150 FLO members participated, further strengthening the spirit of collaboration and celebration of India’s artisanal wealth.
The overwhelming response from visitors reaffirmed the growing appreciation for handmade, sustainable, and locally crafted products in modern lifestyles.
