Lucknow – In a significant move to promote financial literacy among women, FICCI FLO Lucknow Chapter successfully hosted a practical investor awareness session at Hotel Uthopian Luxe, Gomti Nagar on Monday. The session focused on equipping women with essential financial knowledge and tools to make informed investment decisions.
The event featured Shruti Sharma, Company Secretary and Head of the Regulatory Department for the Uttar Pradesh Division of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), as the keynote speaker. With over 11 years of experience in the securities market, Sharma delivered valuable insights into investments, stock markets, mutual funds, and asset allocation strategies.
In her presentation, Sharma emphasized the importance of investing through authorized financial institutions to maximize returns and safeguard capital. She also conducted a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the operations of the NSE, making complex financial concepts accessible to the audience.

Sharma warned participants about financial fraud, offering practical tips to avoid scams and urging them not to fall prey to fraudulent financial schemes. She advocated the benefits of small but consistent savings, which can yield significant long-term gains, especially when invested wisely.
Answering audience questions, Sharma recommended that anyone interested in stocks, mutual funds, bonds, or digital assets should first seek proper guidance. She elaborated on the NSE’s role, the different investment platforms available, and how India’s rapidly evolving financial market holds immense potential for both new and seasoned investors. She noted, “Financial literacy is not only vital for personal prosperity but also strengthens the national economy.”


The event was chaired by Lekha Khandelwal, who highlighted the growing importance of financial literacy in today’s world. She emphasized that awareness and education in finance are crucial for women to gain financial independence and security.
