Gonda – In a solemn ceremony held at the Collectorate Auditorium, the family of late Home Guard Jagjivan Ram Yadav was presented with financial assistance totaling ₹30 lakh. The event, presided over by District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, highlighted the support extended to the families of personnel who serve the community and administration with dedication.
The assistance was provided under a posthumous nominee benefit scheme linked to the salary package operated by Axis Bank. During the program, representatives from the bank handed over a cheque for ₹30 lakh to the designated family members of the deceased Home Guard.
Speaking at the event, DM Priyanka Niranjan praised the role of Home Guard personnel in maintaining law and order, assisting in disaster management, and supporting various administrative tasks. She emphasized that financial support in the event of an untimely death is vital to ensure the family’s stability during difficult times and lauded Axis Bank’s initiative as a commendable gesture.

The program also aimed to send a broader message: that both the administration and associated institutions stand by their employees and their families in every circumstance. The bereaved family expressed heartfelt gratitude to both the administration and the bank for their timely support.
Among those present were Home Guard Commandant Shivendra Pratap Singh, the Axis Bank cluster head, branch manager, and other officials associated with the program.
