Lucknow – FAH Super Specialty Hospital today inaugurated Breastfeeding Week as part of the Government of India’s national program. The event was graced by Dr. Tanushree Banerjee, a renowned writer and the Chief Guest, who spoke passionately about Nari Shakti (Women Empowerment) and the pivotal role women play in shaping society.
The session featured an insightful talk by Dr. Neha Maini Gupta, leading gynecologist at FAH Hospital, who elaborated on the benefits of breastfeeding—not only for infants but also for mothers. She emphasized the importance of mother’s milk in enhancing immunity and promoting holistic growth in newborns.
Dr. Ahmed Raza Khan, Managing Director of FAH Super Specialty Hospital, shared an overview of the hospital’s existing infrastructure and upcoming developments. He outlined plans for introducing advanced specialties that will further enhance patient care in the future.

A major highlight of the event was a street play performed by hospital staff to raise awareness on female feticide and the declining girl child ratio in India. The impactful performance left the audience with a deeper understanding of gender issues and the need for change.
