“The Residency” refers not only to a historical monument or ruins, but also encompasses a deeper experience that can only be felt in person. These images of the residency highlight the isolation, visualization, and conceptualization created by eminent photographer Anil Risal Singh. Through his pictures, he aims to reveal an inner vision, creating something extraordinary that comes to life when viewed through the camera’s lens. He emphasizes the splendid lines, energy, and spaces that exist in this environment, achieving a balance between stability and movement, which continuously inspires him to explore aesthetic possibilities.

For Singh, capturing the residency with his camera is a deeply enjoyable experience that offers new heights, depths, and dimensions to his imagination. It serves as a catalyst for his experimental nature, providing him with tremendous energy and a rich source of inspiration that deepens his understanding of beauty and aesthetics.
The residency experienced partial destruction during the revolt of 1857 and has further deteriorated over time for various reasons. However, Singh observes that these factors have enhanced its beauty in unexpected ways, capturing them through his lens to preserve their essence. The exhibition will continue for the next 15 days, and everyone is invited to visit and enjoy the artworks.
